We would like to inform you that a defect was found in TOKYO CRAFTS's lantern pole, "Product name: Sunset Hanger."

Based on inquiries from customers, it has been confirmed that there is a problem with the adjuster belt (hereinafter referred to as the relevant part), making it difficult to use normally and potentially causing injury.

In order to prevent accidents due to use (there is a risk of product damage or injury), we ask everyone who has purchased this product to immediately stop using the affected product and cooperate with the voluntary recall of the affected parts. I know.

After confirming the return of the product from the customer, we will ship the improved part.

Please note that this incident has not resulted in any human casualties to date.

Customers who have purchased the product will receive a letter and an envelope for returning the parts by mail starting Tuesday, November 29th. If you have not received your mail by December 5th (Monday), please contact our inquiry desk .

For instructions on how to replace the affected parts, please enclose only the affected parts in the reply letter pack enclosed with this document and send it by Thursday, December 15, 2022 . For customers who have confirmed that they have returned defective items within the deadline, we will send replacement items one by one, with the goal of receiving them by the end of this year.

Please return the parts in the return envelope that we will send you from the end of November to the beginning of December ( must arrive by Thursday, December 15, 2022 ).

The problem that was discovered this time was that the polished finish on the metal fittings of the relevant parts was smoother than expected. Originally, the design was such that the tension applied to the belt could be absorbed by friction, but it turned out that this product was unable to absorb the tension and would bounce back violently.

In the improved product, the grain size of the polishing finish has been adjusted to strengthen the friction of the relevant parts. We have also adjusted the angle of the hook so that it can absorb the tension on the belt.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and inconvenience caused to those who purchased the lantern pole "Product name: Sunset Hanger." In the future, we will strive to further review product design (ensure safety) and strengthen our inspection system (quality control).
