Recipe for “Neglected Spare Ribs Honey Mustard” made with Marupot

  • Spare ribs 600g
  • A little salt and pepper
  • 100 cc of water (enough to cover half of the meat)
  • 3 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Grain mustard 1 tbsp to taste

《How to make》

① Sprinkle salt and pepper on the spare ribs and grill over charcoal. (*Frying pan available)

Season with a little salt and pepper before grilling.

If using a frying pan, add oil to prevent it from burning. Once the spare ribs are golden brown, move on to the next step.

②Put grilled ① into a tagine pot and add water and all seasonings.

③ Mix everything together, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.

Once boiling, cover and simmer over very low heat for about 1 hour until the meat is tender.

④ When the meat becomes soft, remove the lid and evaporate the water until the sauce coats the meat.

⑤Add more grain mustard if you like.

When the water content has reduced enough to cover the meat with the sauce, add grainy mustard as a finishing touch and it's done.
