We developed this product with the desire to incorporate the traditional Japanese culture of "dashi culture" into spices. Made with domestic ingredients, this is a spice that Japan can be proud of.
Add the essence of "dashi" to your everyday dishes
The origins of Japan's dashi culture are said to date back to the Jomon period. We wondered if we could create a spice using "dashi," a traditional ingredient that has been loved in Japan since ancient times...and with that idea in mind, we started developing "Shin."
The ingredients used are selected from across the country, including grilled flying fish from Nagasaki Prefecture, Koshin shiitake mushrooms from Miyazaki Prefecture, Rishiri kelp from Hokkaido, Yaizu-produced bonito flakes, dried mackerel, and round sardines from Kumamoto Prefecture.
Developed in collaboration with Aji no Wako, a Kyushu-based shop specializing in ago dashi stock that has been researching the golden ratios of dashi stock for over 20 years, we have created a Japanese-style spice that can be easily combined with any ingredient.
No preservatives, colorings or sweeteners are used, so even children can enjoy it with peace of mind. We are confident in this product, which we have developed after repeated trial and error, so please give it a try.
